Redmi Note 10 Pro Max is the best offer for money that you can get now. Starting at Rs 18,999, it offers premium design, powerful cameras, vibrant displays, and decent hardware under the hood to handle the game and resource-focused applications. Xiaomi's own Mi 10i is the only real problem.

Xiaomi launched the all-new Redmi Note 10 line-up early last week as the successor to the popular Note 9 series from 2020. Just like last, this new series brings with it three new phones - Redmi Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. Of the three, the Note 10 Pro Max is the most premium, as it comes with powerful features including a 108-megapixel primary lens and a fast 120Hz superimposed display.

REDMI NOTE 10 PRO MAX: DESIGN AND DISPLAY

With the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, Xiaomi has moved away from the Aura design philosophy introduced a few years ago. Instead, the new line-up is based on the EVOL design language. The biggest advantage of this switch is that it helps the Xiaomi Note 10 Pro Max to be significantly slimmer and sleeker than the Note 9 Pro Max. In addition, the phone is a bit lighter at 192 grams. And despite this, Xiaomi has used glass, on both the front and back of the device.

However, the use of glass makes the Note 10 Pro Max look premium beyond its price, which is definitely a big tick on its side. The phone is launched in three colors, Vintage Bronze, Dark Knight, and Glacial Blue. Of the three, Xiaomi sent us the first two for review, and in our opinion, both look equally good. Although, dark night is definitely more calm in two color types. But it also comes at a cost. Compared to vintage bronze, Dark Knight has a glossy finish. The rear panel of this variant is also reflective in nature and it also picks up fog easily.

But the similarity between the two is that the rear panel has a dual-step camera set-up with the phone's four camera lenses. The attachment is also slightly spread which makes the phone a little shaky if placed on a flat surface. However, there is definitely nothing to worry about.

Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Performance

Underneath the hood, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor that does not support 5G. This chipset offers an octa-core configuration CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. Xiaomi has paired it up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage to choose from. The unit sent to us for review offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

As usual, we tested the device using several synthetic benchmarks. And honestly, the results we found weren't the best. This is because the phone scored less than the Density 800U-powered Narzo 30 Pro and the Exynos 9825-powered Samsung F62. On the Antutu 8, the Redmi Note 10 Max Pro scored 238136, while on the Geekbench it scored 560 and 1761 in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

However, the Adreno 618 GPU offered better benchmark results compared to the two rival phones. During our game bench test, we got an average FPS of 58 frames for Call of Duty Mobile at 98 percent stability. The Asphalt ran at a medium FPS of 930 frames but at high stability of 99. This was better than the game bench results of the other two phones. On the GFXBench (Aztec Ruins, high tier) it scored 683.9 points, while on the 3D Mark Life the phone scored 1109 points.

Outside of synthetic benchmarks and testing areas, we can confirm that the general performance of the device is satisfactory and the device is good for handling heavy-duty games with Call of Duty: Mobile and Asphalt 9 Legends. The faster display also helps improve the gaming experience on the phone and generally makes the phone faster and more responsive.
