Where To Find Zero Point Pretzels And More in Fortnitemares

Fortnite Candy - Where To Find It

Fortnite is back in costume with Fortnitemares 2022 and that means candy can be found all over the map just like every year. You'll want to find Fortnite candy for a number of reasons--often just to enjoy their buffs for speed, jumping, and more--but some Fortnitemares quests will also require you to find candy. This year, one such quest asks you to apply the Zero Point Pretzel Effect three times. Here's how to do it easily and where to find the candy.

Fortnite Zero Point Pretzel effect

Zero Point Pretzels work like Zero Point Fish by giving you a few seconds of the dash technique, making you harder to hit while under fire, while also adding some speed to your looper. Eating just one pretzel will give you this ability for about 30 seconds, but they don't stack, so if you're trying to complete the challenge of applying the effect three times, you should wait for each effect to wear off before applying it again. The easiest way to find Zero Point Pretzels is to buy them from Chrome Punk, a new pumpkin-headed NPC that appeared alongside the Fortnitemares update. For your convenience we have all the NPCs mapped and listed in our NPC Locations Guide. You can find Chrome Punk in the Flutter Barn in the center of the map. He sells zero point pretzels, so bring some gold and you'll be set.

If someone beats you up and buys their supplies, you'll have to find buckets of candy instead. Keep reading for that.

Fortnite Candy Locations

Fortnite candy is usually found outside of residences throughout the island every October. However, the current map has surprisingly few residential settings, making Candy Buckets a bit rare this season. Still, there are some reliable places that we use to collect candy when we need it.

The best location is at Willow's Cabin on the western edge of the map. Just be prepared for boss battles--apparently Willow prefers tricks to treats. If your Battle Bus route isn't conducive to getting there, you can reliably find a few buckets of candy in The Joneses, especially on the high rope bridge west of the location. For a more central location, try the lone blue house just west of the Herald's Sanctum.

There are a lot of houses in Greasy Grove, the only major residential drop this season, and you'll occasionally find candy there, but not as much as you'd expect based on previous Fortnitemares events, and it seems to move every round. For reliability, we like to go to the House of Willows best.

Candy Types And Their Uses

There are many types of candy in Fortnite, and each has a different benefit. There isn't a single candy you can eat that applies a harmful effect, though some are good or bad depending on your situation and playstyle. Here's a list of all Fortnite candies and what they do on a per-item basis.

  • Candy Corn - Gives 1 health per second up to 10 health
  • Jelly Bean - Instantly grants a total of 10 HP in health (priority) and shield
  • Zero Point Pretzel - Gives a temporary "zero point" dash effect
  • Hop Drop - Grants a temporary low-gravity jump ability, negating fall damage
  • Peppermint - Temporarily increases speed
  • Thermal Taffy - Gives temporary thermal vision
