BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) was banned by the Indian government sometime back this year. Ever since the ban, gamers have been curious if the game will return to the Google Play Store. Soon after, Krafton confirmed that it was in talks with the government and would try to bring back the game.

BGMI could be coming back to Google Play Store in January

According to AFK Gaming, both Alpha Clasher and Hector have claimed that BGMI will soon be re-released and playable on Android.

A player named predatorsasuke joined Alpha Clasher in his recent livestream where he claimed to work for Google, then revealed the game's return date. He said that BGMI will return to the Google Play Store on January 15.

This is the timeline given by Hector. In his livestream, he was asked about BGMI's comeback and said that the release timeline is January.

The gamer said, “The game is coming back in January, someone from Google said this. I don't know this personally, but I have heard this. That person is an important person in the Google community; He is someone in a leadership position.”

“If someone in the gaming community says the game will come back, it doesn't matter. The person said the game will be back on January 15.”

The release date stated by both is the same and if it is legit we will know in the coming weeks. However, note that the date has yet to be confirmed by Crafton and should therefore be taken with a pinch of salt.

At this time, if the game is released, Krafton will have to strictly follow all security and privacy policies.
