Leaked Genshin Impact Details Uncover Hydro Traveler Kit

Genshin Impact enthusiasts can now delve into the intricacies of the Hydro Traveler's ability kit, which showcases the introduction of an exciting new mechanic called Spiritsbreath. This addition brings a fresh dynamic to the gameplay experience.

With the release of Version 3.8, Genshin Impact enthusiasts are now being treated to substantial leaks regarding the upcoming region called Fontaine. These leaks include the complete ability kit for the Hydro Traveler. While Genshin Impact boasts characters of diverse shapes and sizes, originating from various corners of Teyvat, equipped with Visions of different elements and wielding a variety of weapons, the Traveler stands out due to their adaptable element. Throughout the numerous updates of Genshin Impact, players have unlocked the Anemo, Geo, Electro, and Dendro elements for the Traveler's repertoire. Now, Fontaine aims to introduce the Hydro element into the mix.

The Dendro Traveler has proven to be an unexpectedly potent selection for numerous top-tier teams in Genshin Impact, particularly those dependent on Yae Miko for Aggravate reactions or Raiden Shogun's elemental recharge scaling. As Hydro takes the spotlight in the Fontaine region, players of Genshin Impact hold high hopes that the HoYoverse will maintain the trend set in Sumeru and equip the Traveler with a fresh ability kit capable of rivaling the current meta. Staying true to tradition, the Traveler's Sword retains its unchanged Normal and Charged Attacks. However, with the introduction of the Aquacrest Saber, the Traveler gains the ability to transform into a veritable machine gun, albeit at the cost of their own health. Triggering the new Elemental Skill will unleash a powerful surge of water, while holding it for a duration of up to six seconds will enable the Traveler to relentlessly pelt enemies with a barrage of dewdrops.

Interestingly, the Aquacrest Saber will also engage with the novel Spiritsbreath mechanic, which grants damage bonuses to characters in Fontaine based on whether they possess Pneuma-aligned or Ousia-aligned attributes. Reflecting the overarching theme of duality in Fontaine, Spiritsbreath appears to be an extension of this concept within gameplay. While the precise impact of this new mechanic on combat in Fontaine, or its potential integration into the Spiral Abyss of Genshin Impact, is yet to be fully revealed, indications suggest that both Lynette, Lyney, Freminet, and the Hydro Traveler will have some form of interaction with it.

The newly introduced Elemental Burst for the Traveler is named Rising Waters, and from its description, it appears to resemble a slower version of the Elemental Burst found in the Anemo Traveler's kit. To counterbalance the health drain caused by the Aquacrest Saber, Hydro Travelers will possess a passive talent that gradually restores their HP with each Sourcewater Droplet collected. These droplets are generated when the Hold version of Aquacrest Saber is utilized and successfully strikes an enemy. While it is premature to evaluate the true strength of the Hydro Traveler in Genshin Impact at this stage, on paper, their kit undeniably showcases a distinctive and intriguing playstyle.
